Deer... right here... in Cramlington

Spotted these four lovely deer feeding on the field this morning across from our house in Cramlington. Country ways... country ways!

In case you were wondering...

Our house is still for sale. We're trying yet another estate agent to see if that produces anything more positive than the recent incumbents. In November it'll be one year since we put our house on the market. According to media sources... (hem...hem) things are allegedly improving in the housing market... let's hope so eh?

Some kind of anniversary...

It was twenty two years ago this very day that me and The Lady Brenda moved to Cramlingtonvilleshire. As I write she is driving home from our daughters in Essex and no doubt we will raise a glass tonight to acknowledge the fact. The second and third glasses will celebrate the anticipation that we will not make it twenty three years in this house.... but will by then have moved and become Whitleybunions once again.

Anna drops by...

It's always great to get a visit from a good friend, and the other evening we were delighted to welcome Anna for some supper and an overdue catch-up. We took Gracie for a walk over the field under the banner of an amazing sunset.

Vartegn!

Vartegn means 'Signs of Spring' in Norwegian. There are certainly signs of spring around this week as little snowdrops emerge from their winter rest.

Not to be outdone, the daffodils are bursting forth too.

Winter has me in its grip

"Winter has me in it's grip, think I'll take a summer trip, on a sunny sailing ship where the shells lie in the sand..."

If only!

Somewhere in Northumberland..... this morning

Oh alright then... it's Cramlington again! But this is one of the views your friends could be waking up to if they would only buy our house. The tree is right outside and often shares its branches with blue tits, robins, thrushes, blackbirds... even the odd sparrowhawk has been know to alight there. It's a little bit of country on the edge of town I'm telling you!
